awwww… the cuteness! Phil you are awesome. Getting to know you and your family makes you seem more real than any other player if that makes sense.. hahaha.. i have neices around those age too. haha. do they bug you a lot to play baseball?

First time poster, long time reader…
the picture is brilliant, great sepia tones…I recently took up photography as a hobby, is there a way to share a photo on here. That might be a good contest for the future, best picture in a certain catagory or something like that. Anyway, just wanted to say good luck against my bulls. I went to grad school at USF. I worked with the baseball team and the volleyball team as an athletic trainer.

Aside from that, I’m walking on cloud nine right now. I noticed a few days ago that they were auctioning off one one of those framed “I want to thank the Good Lord” Joe Dimaggio signs over at MLB.com auctions. This one was signed by our boy Phil and the opening bid was $100. I threw down a bid thinking I was bound to be overbid at some point. The auction ended about 25 minutes ago and I’m happy to say I walked away the winner. I was the sole bidder and snaked it for a cool $100!!! Awesome deal considering Steiner sells them unsigned for $150, and they sell them signed by Phil for $250. And I’ve got mine for $100!!! I’m stoked!! I was literally biting my nails watching the timer count down, refreshing every 2 seconds expecting to see a higher bid.

Also, I have 9 nieces and nephews (with number 10 on the way), so I know what it’s like to be incredibly proud of them.
I want to echo what someone else said - this blog is great because you are allowing us to get to know you as a person instead of just a number. Phil, you are truly creating something very special and clearly you now have a bond with Yankee fans all over the world. It’s really wonderful for you to share your life with us -

Your nieces are very cute and the picture is amazing! Nothing like a California sunset. Your nieces remind me of my nieces Carolyn and Katie they love when I take pictures of them and that is just two of thirteen nieces and nephews! Whew it gets crazy at christmas time….

they care cuties…I take my Nephews and Niece to a ton of Yankee games throughout the season..they call me “uncle bestest” LOL So, I know the love an Uncle has for a nephew, a niece or both! =-)
