The Q&A with Pete Abraham is up over at his blog. Check it out. It was nice to not have to answer solely baseball questions for a change. Hope you enjoy!

haha I love the cagefight question
btw Phil nice outing today against some poor unsuspecting college kids…they must’ve been terrified to face Joba, Ian, then you. Luckily for them they got to face Igawa.
Yeah, that cagematch was definitely an upset. You and Joba should rag on Ian for giving up a hit to a college kid
Nice interview Phil! (even if you didn’t use my question 🙂 ).
So you guys (you, Joba, Ian) don’t like to be known as The Big Three? Because that is what we called you guys last winter during the Save the Big Three campaign (see the ad for the tee shirts on http://riveraveblues.com…Pete Abe comments over there sometimes so I’m sure he knows about it). I am not connected to that site, I don’t even comment over there, just read it almost every day and those guys, like most of us, were RABID about keeping the 3 of you. Here in NY we campaigned HARD to keep our Big Three over Johan Santana. So you don’t like that moniker or you didn’t know it existed?
I heard the game today. Everyone was smoking except Igawa….I won’t use your blog to say what I think of him.(I try to stay away from the negative anyway)..but for the rest of you: Nice job guys!!!
Which pitches did you use today?
nice choice of what car you would want… aston martin DB9.. that’d be in my top choice of cars too!
thanks for a great q&a. i saw it this morning. i like the office question. Mussina haha. & joba as michael. and i read that you used to live in edgewater! thought that was cool. i live right next to edgewater. anyway thanks and good game today.
The cagematch question is awesome.
I listened to today’s game on streaming radio…so nice to have baseball back!
Great interview Phil.
Sounds like you and Pete had some fun.
Great questions with great answers!
Who was talking in the background?? Their conversation was pretty funny.
I’m with you Phil, Metallica is my absolute favorite too. In my opinion there is no greater band.
great job as usual w/ the Q&A…also, great job picthing 2day. it must be a sureal feeling pitching against people your own age in college, while you in the Majors pitching for the New York Yankees!
i liked the question about the office and the dessert island. to good. i would have to bring mixed Cd’s too.
Hey Phil, loved the Q&A. Nice line today as well. When will you be making your first spring start?
Cool interview, and congrats on a nice outing today to start the ’08 season.
Phil.. can I come over your house? wink
great interview Phil, even though I struck out on getting my question answered. Good luck to ya.
oh and that post above my first one is kind of creepy, ha
some great questions, thanks for doin that .
Jeter would make a good Pam since he is the one that everyone wants to get with
I’m going to Email……..
Hey Phil, You talked about one of your favorite restaurants as Flemings. have you ever eaten at Frankie & Johnie’s or F&J the Pine? I know a lot of the guys usually eat there after games… Also often they send food over to the clubhouse. My cousin Gerry run the F&J Pine… and my little cousin Andrew has been the bat boy a few times over the last few years… It’s one of the best Italian rest. in the city. You should check it out if you haven’t yet!
nice interview Phil, you and Pete got some good questions, and I also share the same dream car as you.
Phil, I love the interview, but wouldn’t it make more sense just to take questions on your blog and answer them? I read LoHud daily, but it seems far more efficient to cut out the middle man.
That was a great read. Thanks for doing it.
i wish i watched the office so i could get your refrences.
anyways, great interview thanks for taking your time to do that.
how did you two choose the questions, did you really read all of the responses?
Great interview Phil. Was at the game today to cheer on my favorite team as well as lifelong friend Michael Consolmagno from Staten Island who got that hit off of Ian. You should def rag on Ian a bit.
Thanks for answering our questions. Enjoyed reading the interview.
Phil Hughes: I’ve gotten to see Metallica before, definitely my favorite band. So any Metallica show I’d choose over anything else.
Man love for Phil.
Nice pitching by the Trinity …congrats on a job well done. Phil ..I’m off to visit your future home tomorrow …Cooperstown… :o) !! I’ll be with a busload of Yankee and Met fans…should be VERY INTERESTING….haha. I’m just hoping the weather cooperates because snow is in the forecast …especially upstate.
I hope everyone is keeping Bobby Murcer in their prayers …I know I am …
Go Yankees 2008 !!!
Nice game. Who was Tino Martinez rooting for since hes the USF’s volunteer assistant coach?
Yanksgal – Don’t blink when you pass the Met HOFs…Ha ha!! Have fun. Hope you get up there with the snow. I am also praying for Bobby. Keep the faith.
Phil – great interview. Thanks for keeping it real in the field..ahh right?
The interview was fine but not nearly as awesome as the early success you Joba and Ian had today. A great start by all three of you. I wish they would include how hard you were all throwing today in the postgame articles.
I just read a post a few lines up. The Trinity. It’s perfect. I know phil said he didn’t want a group nickname but this is too good.
this girl allison is very lucky! you must love her if u want to spend the rest of your life with her! why dont you marry her already? haha but seriously! i think its cute that u love her so much to spend the rest of your life on a desert island with her.
Thanks for answering my question, Phil!
Hey Yanksgal07—I am so jealous you are going to Cooperstown!! Have fun!! I can’t wait to go myself! And, yes, I agree…we must all remember Bobby Murcer..send good thoughts his way.
Great Q&A. And I’d walk away with the whole stadium! A little here and there and before you know it they won’t have to tear it down because I will have every last piece of it! Get what you can, Phil. I’d make sure it was something original to the stadium. Are the seats the same? I’d rip the whole field up, LOL.

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee!
Awesome interview, thanks so much Phil! Congrats on the great performance the other day.
bwahahah Moose as Stanley? I totally see that! I agree with the Jeter = Pam b/c so many people want him and Pam is definitely one people in The Office seem to want (Jim, Michael, Toby, Kevin, Roy).
For some reason, I see Shelly Duncan as Dwight…
Hows that changeup comin along Phil?
I don’t see Shelley as Dwight at all!!!! I see him more like Andy esp when he’s singing “Take A Chance On Me” to Angela. hilarious.
Anyway, Shelley had a <strong.GREAT GAME today! He was SMOKING. ST going well for the Yankees. Can’t wait to see Andy pitch tomorrow!
G’night all!!! Heading out for bit in da apple!
Phil – Extremely happy Shelley had a great day! He’s a gamer!
Hello, I am from Taiwan.
I like you very much.
Hope you have a nice day.
Guess Phil’s a worldwide pimp now
great interview Phil!
Great interview, Phil.
Nice job pitching in the spring training games as well!
Can you hook me and my sister up with some tix to a game your pitching in…..we are huge fans of yours!! I’m 14 and my sister is 12, we live in Long Island…..
Hating the game ending in a tie but Jason and Andy looked really good.
Nice interview Phil!
NJ sometimes get a bad rap, but you can actually relax in NJ…avoid NYC as long as you can!
thanks for a great response to my question. I thought that catchers had more say in what pitchers throw, I guess its different pitcher to pitcher, and what pitch is working that day…thanks
Phil…. Loved the Q&A. Great job pitching Friday as well. Keep up the great work!
